The YWCA of Queens hosted our annual New York Music Competition April 9th-April 12th 2012. Co-presented by the Korea Daily and sponsored by Korean Cultural Service NY and the Tiger Baron Foundation, the NYMC provides the opportunity for talented young musicians to compete in either the violin, cello, or piano division. It was very competitive this year and we had many participants from Julliard pre-college , Manhattan School of Music, and Mannes College Preparatory. Twenty-five first and second place winners have been selected and will participate in a concert and award ceremony at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall on Thursday, May 3rd, 2012.
