The YWCA of Queens is piloting a new Job Readiness class from March 18 to June 17. Students will engage in job readiness exercises to prepare them for each step of their career pathways.

Learn how to determine jobs that fit your skills, interests, and values, how to look for and apply to jobs, how to prepare for job interviews and how to work professionally.

Class Overview

Choosing a Career Path: Learn about ways to assess your strengths, interests, and values to choose a career path or job.

Job Searches & Applications: Learn how to navigate and use various job application sites.

Resumes & Cover Letters: Learn how to write or update a resume and write a tailored cover letter.

Interview Preparation: Practice interview questions and elarn interview skills to prepare for in-person and virtual interviews.

Workplace & Professional Skills: Practice and become familiar with interpersonal communication, professionalism, and basic technology skills.

Business English: Learn valuable business and professional English vocabulary during each class.

Classes will be provided via Zoom. First come, first served with 20 seats available.

Fridays from 9am – 12pm
