YWCA Board Member Chong Won Kim Continues Work for Comfort Women

Yesterday on Thurs, July 30th, YWCA of Queens Board Member Chong Won Kim attended an event supporting comfort women at Queensborough Community College. The theme of the event was “We Will Not Be Silenced” in honor of the Korean comfort women who were used as sexual slaves by the Japanese military and have yet to receive an apology from the Japanese government. Board Member Kim also served as the moderator for last month’s comfort women event which was held here at the YWCA of Queens. We’re proud that she continues to take a stand for comfort women.
