Korean Traditional Music Concert and Painting Exhibition

On December 10th, 2011, at 6:00pm, the Evergreen School will be hosting a Korean music concert and painting exhibition open to the public.  The twelve musicians have been preparing since March 16th and have created a fantastic performance that includes traditional Korean “Sori” vocalism and the “Jangu,” a Korean drum.  These musicians are proud to celebrate their Korean heritage by celebrating the harmonies of its music and would love to share it with you!

At this event, the artistic works of the Evergreen Traditional Korean Painting class will be displayed for the public to view.  These six painters have been practicing and preparing their works since 2009.  All paintings are composed with ink and capture the elegance of the orchid, chrysanthemum, bamboo, and plum tree.  Over 20 pieces will be on exhibit for the public to enjoy..

This event is open to the public and is a great opportunity for families to celebrate and learn about traditional Korean art.  We look forward to seeing you there!
