Domestic Violence Awareness Doesn’t End in October

YWCA’s Director of Development Stacy McKelvey joined community leaders this morning for Joining Voices: Raising Awareness, the 2nd annual Faith Communities Respond to Domestic Violence breakfast. Creating programs that meet the needs of domestic violence survivors is of key importance to the YWCA. One of the most important messages to come out of this conversation is that combating domestic violence requires us to invest in all parties by providing services to domestic violence survivors, children, and abusers. Only through looking at the bigger picture can we stop violence in our communities. Thanks to CONNECT, Flushing International Faith Council, and John Choe from Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce for hosting this event.
