On October 7th, 2011, 500 seniors attended the annual YWCA of Queens Senior Mini-Olympics at Kissena Park for a day of health, fun, and camaraderie. Participants engaged in a wide range of activities including horseshoe casting, ring casting, casting bean bags, casting a ball into a basket, dribbling a soccer ball, pogo, carrying a ball using chopsticks, rolling tires, miniature golf, darts, carrying water with utensils, bingo and puzzles. Participants enjoyed live entertainment and educational booths that provided valuable information about health services.
