Annual Gala

Each year YWCA of Queens staff, members, and supporters join together to celebrate the yearly achievements of the organization.  Many community leaders attend this event and give speeches in support of the YW’s efforts.

Health Fair

Each year, we hold health events catered to Asian women in collaboration with local organizations in celebration of Women’s History Month. The event includes workshops on depression, diet, adult diseases, and other health issues designed for different age groups.

Holiday Bazaar

The bazaar consists of delicious ethnic treats, entertainment, and a great selection of items for purchase. Held in the holiday months, it’s the perfect place to look for great gifts.

New York Music Competition

Co-presented by the Korean Daily, the New York Music Competition invites talented young musicians skilled in piano, violin, or cello to display their musical talent. Musicians have the opportunity to discover their musical potential and work towards their future career plans.

Senior Mini-Olympics

Drawing over four hundred senior-citizens annually, the Senior Mini-Olympics provides senior citizens the opportunity to engage in healthy competitions and social activities. It has become an annual tradition for seniors to meet new friends, reunite with old companions, and enjoy the benefits of physical fitness.

Summer Literacy Festival

Since 2000, the Literacy Festival has been a cultural treasure for children and families in the community. Started through the corporate sponsorship of HSBC Bank USA, N.A., this festival is held every summer to foster literacy among our youth in the diverse immigrant community. Each year, we combine more innovative and traditional programs to promote literacy awareness and cultural diversity.
